Although a short week students have accomplished a lot.

In math grade 5’s have begun to look at multiplication through patterns, visualizing and exploring. Grade 6’s are examining factors and multiples.

We have spent some time outside learning new journaling techniques as well as measuring trees circumference, calculating its diameter and estimating the height of trees for Science

Students are almost finished with their Book Timelines; this will be due by the end of next week. We are continuing to build students stamina in reading and finding books that they read and finish.

In connection with Orange Shirt Day we have been learning about the importance of reconciliation, watching videos, reading books and will be looking at child friendly version of the calls to action in the future. This will be something that we will be connecting to throughout the year.

Enjoy the long weekend and get ready to run on Monday for our Terry Fox Run, follow this link to donate on behalf of our school. https://schools.terryfox.ca/6084
